Ye Youqing originally was a business magnate, but unexpectedly died one day and transmigrated into the tragic female lead who was thrown to the ground by the male lead, with a stunningly beautiful but malicious female supporting character in his arms, looking pitiful and deserving of sympathy.

As the legitimate daughter of the Duke’s household, the female lead married the male lead and suffered abuse daily, eventually ending with her family ruined and herself dead.

Ye Youqing: …You don’t even want money, are you even human?

Hence, she destroyed the male lead, seized his wealth, fought against her concubine mother, and even picked up the malicious female supporting character who was against her and entangled with the male lead, and threw her out of the room.

Unexpectedly, this original fox spirit-like malicious female supporting character, not knowing what got into her, turned and lay in her room instead.

The woman, seductive and engaging, pressed her soft body into her arms, her breath as sweet as orchid: “I want revenge, and I want to make a deal with you.”

Ye Youqing, expressionless, extended her index finger and pushed her away.

“If you want to make a deal, use money.”

“As for anything else, that’s a different price.”

——————

As an abusive novel that abuses the female lead, Ye Youqing feels that the storyline is a bit off.

For example, the malicious female supporting character who should have fallen into the water with her, saved by the male lead, not only fell in for her but also wetly climbed into her arms.

For example, the malicious female supporting character who should have seduced the male lead on her wedding night, not only ignored the male lead but also drunkenly collapsed in her room in disarray.

For example, the malicious female supporting character who should hate her to the bones, one day actually wore a bridal dress, sat on her bed with eyes like silk, and tearfully opened her lips: “Ye Youqing, please.”

——————

Ci Ke was slain along with her family by the male lead since she was a child. She got close to the male lead, enduring humiliation, all to seek revenge for the extermination of her family, but was blocked by Ye Youqing.

She originally thought Ye Youqing was a fool who only thought about men, thinking she hated her to the bone.

Unexpectedly later, she found her to be extremely intelligent, and found herself having fallen deeply in love with her.

It's quite an extensive review, as I spent ten days reading through all the chapters. I've chosen this novel as my comeback after a year without reading any Bai He or Yuri Chinese novels. First, I'd like to express my gratitude to the translation team, Little Panda, for their fantastic work.

The book revolves around revenge, intricate schemes, and romance, all巧妙融合在一起. Despite occasional plot developments, I find it well-structured. However, I deducted one star due to the excessive length of the "mutual pining" phase in Chapter 40, which felt拖沓 for me.

Additionally, I wasn't fond of the author's handling of Fan Wei and extra chapters, where Ye Youqing returns to the present and essentially replaces another Ye Youqing from the story, along with Ci Ke's actions. The continuity of their relationships and personal lives seemed to be disregarded, despite eventual resolutions.

On the character front, Ye Youqing impresses with her intelligence and strategic thinking. She's poised and caring, even stepping in when it's not her direct concern. Ci Ke, a tragic figure, showcases various layers of her personality, proving herself to be a brave woman who stands strong against adversity. I admire her resilience, akin to Aunt Zhou Ziqiu.

Zhu Ziqiu and Shi Li, the second couple, deserve happiness and are a shining example of loyalty. Many readers will likely resonate with Shi Li, a secondary character who见证s the entire journey. She's always there to support Ye Youqing and plays a crucial role. The Sixth Prince, Song Yi, is also noteworthy, often serving as a standout character alongside Shi Li.

In conclusion, the novel left me emotionally invested, especially with its heartfelt romance. I might revisit this book in the future. Enjoy your reading!

This narrative shares a striking resemblance with the author's previous work where the male protagonist's backyard was ablaze. Both stories revolve around reincarnation, ancient settings, and wuxia elements. However, I found this one more appealing due to its well-developed characters and intricate plot. I'm thrilled that it's now being translated, and I'm eagerly anticipating the polished version, which I believe will surpass the machine-translated edition. Can't wait to dive in!

When I initially began the novel, I thought I mistakenly opened a chapter about the male lead's backyard catching fire – it was quite amusing. Upon realizing it was from the same author, my expectations shifted. The book delves into intricate political intrigue, which might make it a challenging read for those who aren't interested in such themes. However, amidst the societal drama, the characters undergo a gradual development and form a romantic connection, with plenty of heartwarming moments sprinkled throughout.

While I can't provide extensive commentary on the plot, the novel is an easy read with a darker undertone, particularly in the story involving Zhou Zhiqiu. I would have appreciated more depth or resolution for some supporting characters, or perhaps in additional content. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The extra content, however, poses issues. Major spoilers follow:

    - The first extra reveals a shocking twist: Ye Youqing's journey wasn't just to an "empty vessel," but a soul exchange, resulting in her being sent back to the future, leaving her partner Zhou Ci Ke behind. The logistics of Zhouqing traveling back again with Ci Ke raise questions about the consequences for ancient Zhouqing and the fate of actress Ci Ke. This revelation angered me due to its suddenness.

    - The second extra focuses on Zhou Zhiqiu's backstory, but instead of exploring her future, the author spends two chapters revisiting her past with Shi Li. Knowing that she was destined to marry an unpleasant figure and grieve for years, the sweetness of their beginning becomes bittersweet. The climax, where she regains her memories but still struggles, dampens the overall mood.

In summary, if recommending this novel, I advise stopping after the main story concludes and avoiding the extras. The core narrative is enjoyable, but the additional content detracts from the experience. Overall, the author did a commendable job, though there were some name confusion at the start that improved as the story progressed.

I devoured almost an entire day reading through every chapter posted here, completely captivated by the story. It immerses readers immediately, as our protagonist is transported into the leading role of a novel and we're swiftly introduced to the male lead (ML) and female lead (FL).

The narrative follows the familiar tale of two clueless lovebirds, where both MC and FL struggle to acknowledge their growing feelings, often brushing them aside. The story brims with intense emotional tension, which, quite honestly, is the essence of a compelling slow-burn romance, and it delivers that in abundance. Watching their reciprocal rescue missions and the ensuing confusion between them is truly engaging.

There's also a subplot involving revenge, but it leans more towards predictable palace intrigue rather than genuinely frightening villains. I would have appreciated more high-stakes drama, but the focus on character development and relationship dynamics is commendable. If you're looking for a well-written romance with a fully realized FL and aren't too concerned about the broader plot, I wholeheartedly recommend this.

Hi there! If you're considering reading this novel, I can't recommend it enough. It's a real treasure. The storytelling is captivating, and I won't give away too much, but there are some challenges along the way that keep the plot engaging without causing frustration. It's both humorous and emotionally touching. I'm eagerly awaiting the official translation because I've only experienced the machine-translated version, which was quite challenging to follow. But trust me, you wouldn't want to miss out on Ye Youqing and Ci Ke's beautiful love story. Thank you so much to the translator for bringing this to our attention! ❤️❤️❤️
